The Jersey Sports Council publishes its “Manifesto for Sport” ahead of the Jersey 2026 General Election.
The Manifesto has been drafted based on a survey of the 42 Sports bodies which are JSC Members. These sports bodies in turn represent over 23,000 participants. The Manifesto was adopted by the Jersey Sports Council at its AGM in March.
The Manifesto is being sent to all declared Candidates in the upcoming Election. Within the Manifesto is a “Candidate’s Commitment” where we invite each Candidate to review the Manifesto and 20 Comments/Proposals emanating from the Manifesto.
Each Candidate is invited to add a “Y” (yes), “N” (no) or “A” (abstain) after each Comment/Proposal as well as adding any comments of their own at the end. The answers from their Candidate’s Commitment will be loaded onto a spreadsheet which will be updated as the Commitments are received. The spreadsheet will be updated and loaded onto this website as a separate post so that Voters can see which Candidates have replied and their views on the Comments/Proposals.
