Home Nations Veterans Table Tennis Competition being staged in Jersey

Home Nations Veterans Table Tennis Competition being staged in Jersey
In November 2023, Storm Ciarán tore through Jersey and destroyed the Geoff Reed Table Tennis Centre, the home of table tennis on the island for generations.
Since then, Jersey Table Tennis has kept going: working hard to generate our rebuild fund, while continuing to compete, grow, and now, remarkably, host one of the most prestigious events on the Home Nations table tennis calendar.
On 18 September, Jersey welcomes the 2026 Veterans Home Nations: 130 athletes aged 40 to 75+, travelling from Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England to take on our home team. Among them are Jersey players hoping to go one better than the silver medals they previously won at this event – this time on home soil.
Jersey Table Tennis is that TMF Group is continuing its support by backing this event, building on a relationship that already includes sponsoring our Secondaries competition and fielding a team in our Corporate League.
Hosting an event of this scale without our own centre, and for the first time without Fort Regent, which is now closed for refurbishment, is no small logistical undertaking.  Support from sponsors like TMF Group helps make opportunities like this possible.
The competition will take place at Oakfield Sports Centre on Wellington Road from Friday 18th until Sunday 20th September.

A Gala Dinner with award ceremony will be held at the Merton Hotel on Saturday evening at a cost of £44 per person MENU.
