Jersey will welcome Guernsey to Grainville, the National Cricket Centre, on
Saturday 5 September for the annual men’s 50-over Inter-Insular, with play
scheduled to begin at 10.30am
Head Coach Neil MacRae has named a settled 13-player squad for the fixture.
The Inter-Insular is a match of longstanding importance to both islands and remains a
significant date in the cricketing calendar. Played since 1957, it provides an opportunity
for players to represent their island in a traditional contest that continues to hold a
special place in Channel Islands cricket.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Neil MacRae said:
“The Inter-Insular is a big game and we are looking forward to playing at home at
Grainville. We have selected a balanced squad which has performed well in 50 over
cricket this summer. We look forward to playing in front of strong Jersey support on
Saturday in our final home fixture of the season.”
